City of Cleveland: Permitting Process for High Tunnels and Hoop Houses

Due to the increasing number of high tunnels being constructed on urban farms in Cleveland as a result of the USDA EQIP Seasonal High Tunnel Initiative, the City of Cleveland's Department of Building and Housing issued a clarification of the permitting process and fee schedule for these types of structures in December 2012.

Highlights of the Mow Goats Pilot Project in Cleveland

“Mow Goats” is a pilot project sponsored by the Stockyard, Clark-Fulton and Brooklyn Centre Community Development Office to identify a new environmentally sustainable and community-building alternative to city mowing using a herd of goats. This summary includes highlights from the pilot project that was implemented in June 2012 on several lots in Cleveland's Stockyards neighborhood.
