FPC looks forward to starting a new round of the Produce Perks program in the 2013 season starting, once again, in May.

Food Retail Inventory Tool

The Prevention Research Center for Healthy Neighborhoods at Case Western Reserve University has developed an assesment tool for food retailers that identifies the availability of healthy options within the store including fresh fruits and vegetables, whole wheat bread, dried beans, and high fiber or low sugar cereals.  The tool also notes if alcohol and tobacco products are sold, if prepared foods are available, and the ratio of food to nonfood aisles in the store.

This listing includes information on days and hours of operation, location, which RTA routes serve each market, and which markets accept WIC and Senior Farmers' Market coupons, the Ohio Direction Card, and offer Double Value Produce Perks for Ohio Direction Card shoppers.  This information will be updated periodically throughout the season.
